A University of 51³Ô¹Ï researcher has secured more than $1.4 million through the (NHMRC) scheme.
will co-design a framework with Indigenous communities to promote healthy food choices and help reduce disease.
Dr Wenitong and his team including Professor Bronwyn Fredericks, and at UQ, along with other leading Australian academics, aim to strengthen understanding of commercial factors that influence healthy decision making in remote retail environments and develop tools to assist.
This project will be conducted in close partnership with Community Enterprise 51³Ô¹Ï, Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation, Outback Stores, Health and Wellbeing 51³Ô¹Ï, Diabetes Australia and other institutes and universities.
